How far in advance do we need to book?
The sooner you book, more chance you have I am available for your wedding date :)
Are you insured?
Yes, I am
Can we have the RAW footage from the day?
Yes. For an additional fee I will provide you with a timeline of everything I shot on your day. I also keep all raw footage from my weddings up to a year after, so this doesn’t need to be factored into your budget right away.
What time do you stay until?
My packages are not based per hour. If you book me you will have me all day, from morning preps up until the evening party. I normally stay until I get enough footage of the evening dancing, which is an important part of my films. This way, you don’t have to worry about timing, even if your wedding runs a bit late.
Can we choose our favourite song for the film?
Unfortunately not. To use any music in your wedding film it needs to be licensed and for mainstream songs this could cost thousands. I use subscription websites to find the right music that fits the feeling of your film.
Do you record sound?
Yes. For ceremony and speeches I record the audio, I either mic up the person (i.e. groom, celebrant etc) or tap in in the PA system if your venue provides a sound system and microphones.
How long will the film be?
I offer 2 options for the main film, 8 min or 15 min film. Some packages include also a 3-5 min highlight film like most of the ones you can watch on my website. As an extra, I now offer also a 30 sec to 1 min Instagram teaser.
How do you deliver your films?
The finished films are delivered to you online, through a private gallery that hosts all your edited videos. From the gallery, you can download the original files into your device (laptop, phone…), store and back up them securely. Once you receive the films, you are responsible for storing them securely, I strongly recommend you keep at least 2 copies of each one in separate device/hard drive.
What happens if you become ill or have an accident before the wedding and cannot make it?
Unfortunately these things can happen. In this unlikely event you will be notified as soon as possible, and you will have 2 options:
A: I will send one of my shooters, if available, to film the day and I will take care of the editing.
B: I will refund all the money paid. As I am a member of many Wedding Videography groups, I will also do my best to help you find someone else to film your big day.
Do we need to meet up before the wedding?
Not at all. A lot of my couples don’t meet me face to face until the wedding day, but I speak to all of them beforehand. However, I am more than happy to meet any couple for a drink and a chat whenever is possible.
